Kyiv Slavonic University is a higher educational institution in Ukraine having IV level of accreditation.

Founded in November 1993 by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as Kiev Institute "Slavic University", during 18 years it continues the tradition of studying national history, culture, languages, international relations and economics. Lofty idea of science and education in the development of Slavic studies in Ukraine has always been and remains a major challenge for the teachers of our university.

Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukrainian Academy of Pedagogical Sciences the University during its existence has become a scientific and educational complex. UNESCO rating recognized the University as a classic one.

Principle of democratic relations is the main backbone of building relationships between teachers and students. It gives an opportunity for an optimistic prospectives. It also gives an opportunity to improve the quality of university training and enrich university resources.

Diplomats, scientists, statesmen and outstanding people took active part in developing the idea of creating an educational institution.

On November 25, 1993 Kyiv Department of Justice registered a new private educational institution which after licensing was named - the Kiev Institute “Slavonic University” (KISU).

On December 30, 1993 Archimandrite Seraphim consecrated higher educational institution. First lecture for students of the Faculty of Pre-university preparation and graduates of Kyiv high schools was delivered by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to Ukraine Robert Garenchar.

Five institutes operate today in the structure of the Kyiv Slavonic University: Institute of Slavic Studies and International Relations, Institute of Economics and Management, Interregional Institute of Economics and Management, South Slavic Institute in Nikolayev, Rivne Institute of Slav Philology as well as university seven branches in Uzhgorod, Boryspil, Chernigiv, Kotsyubinske, Simferopol, Obukhov and Vasylkiv.

Historical monuments, cultural and spiritual values of the Slavs in Ukraine are the main subjects of the university’s fundamental research. In 2000, the Kyiv Slavonic University within its framework initiated the establishment of Ukrainian National Slavonic Centre of the National Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The Centre and University cooperated in developing the draft of Slavic Studies in Ukraine. The monograph entitled "Slavic culture in European civilization” was published in 2001.

Today the university has more than 10000 students among them – almost 500 foreign students from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Turkey and Iran.

Starting with the III-rd year, some subjects are taught in foreign languages.

The University provides postgraduate and doctoral programmes. By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine a specialized academic council for defence of doctoral and Phd theses in the field of "World history", "History of Ukraine", "Historiography, origin studies and special historical disciplines” was introduced. Specialized scientific library, publishing center and printing station operate at the university.

Kyiv Slavonic University is the founder and publisher of the periodicals: "KSU Herald”, "University" and "Kyiv olden times" which was the press center of the Kiev Old Community in 1882.

An active process of establishing effective contacts with foreign educational and scientific institutions continues through out the history of university existence. Today, among 17 foreign partner universities - educational institutions of Bulgaria, Belarus, Great Britain, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, France, Czech Republic and Sweden. In particular, it concerns Russian State Humanitarian University, the Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland), Western Bohemia University (Pilsen, Czech Republic), Minsk Institute of Economics and Management (Belarus).

Annually Kyiv Slavonic University students have language practice and internship at foreign Universities.

According to the concept of development, Kyiv Slavonic University is implementing a project of studying national and foreign educational experience, an effective combination of theoretical and practical basis in training. The main goal of this project is selection of appropriate places for students’ practical work. In February, 2003 students’ stock exchange was established at the Ukrainian Stock Exchange. Students receive certificates of German Banking Academy and Pitman Examination Institute (UK), have practice in Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Sweden and other countries.

Each year, on May 24, students and university professors celebrate the days of Slavic Written Language and Culture in Ukraine at Mykhailvska square near the monument of the Holy Princess Olga, the Apostle Andrew, St. Cyril and Methodius.

The Institute carries out training in areas and specialties:

Institute students have the opportunity to:

-              get high-quality language training (Ukrainian, English, and one of the Slavic languages – according to the student's choice);

-              have language and country studies practice in diplomatic missions of Slavic and other countries in Ukraine, and European countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, have internship at the universities of Great Britain, Sweden, USA;

-              have archaeological practice, participate in archaeological expeditions of the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

-              have archival and museum practice in the Central State Historical Archives and museums of Kiev;

-              an individual programme study is foreseen for those senior students who undergo training abroad or work;

-              get two majors ("history, language and literature", "psychology, foreign language and literature", "Slavonic language and literature, foreign language and literature");

-              get training at the military department and get a rank of reserve officer;

-              get master’s degree in specialties: "History", "International Relations", "Country Studies", "Ukrainian Language and Literature”, "Psychology", "School management” and have a postgraduate course in: “world history”, "origin studies, historiography, and special historical disciplines", "Ukrainian literature", "Slavonic language”;

-              to listen lectures delivered by leading foreign philologists: Abensur Gerard (France), Juraj Bachi (Slovakia), Kyrill Tsankov (Bulgaria), Dejan Aydachich (Serbia), Boguslaw Bakula (Poland) and others;

-              cooperate with scientists of academic institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, members of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the National Union of Writers of Ukraine.

The institute has 15 departments.

Teaching Staff

Teaching of various subjects at the institute is provided by highly qualified professors. Out of 172 teachers more than 65% have PhD and doctor’s degrees. The Departments of history (91,7% of the total staff), Country Studies (91,2%), International Relations (84,3%) and Ukrainian Philology (79,9%), are the leading Departments at the University.


INSTITUTE OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

Institute of Economics and Management of Kyiv Slavonic University for over 17 years has been functioning in the field of education. It solves teaching problems by organically combining theory with practice. This is achieved by close coupling of theoretical knowledge with practical activities.

Studying the theory, students simultaneously apply acquired knowledge in various laboratories. Training sessions are held in virtual companies where students perform professional duties of managers, accountants, financiers, marketers, etc. Practical orientation is not limited to functioning in virtual space only. The Institute established Student’s Stock Exchange at the Ukrainian Stock Exchange (USE)which holds regular auctions. All duties are performed exclusively by students. The best of them after graduation  are invited to work at the Ukrainian Stock Exchange. Continuous students’ practice is the backbone of Institute activities. It begins with a computer practice during 1-st year of studies and ends with an undergraduate practice during 5-th year of study. According to the results of practical training after the 3-rd year students-financiers are qualified as brokers for electronic circulation of securities and receive corresponding certificates. The University has bilateral agreements with leading universities and companies, where students have practical training. Well organized system of students’ professional adaptation helps the graduates in practical work.

Institute of Economics and Management cooperates with scientific and educational institutions of Ukraine and CIS countries.

The Institute is training specialists (bachelors and masters) in: "finances and credit", "accounting and auditing", "management of the tourist industry", "customs management," "marketing" and " business security ". It also provides an opportunity for correspondence learning.

It offers the students modern specialized classrooms, four centers of information technologies equipped with computers, library, containing not only traditional literary sources, but also large volumes of information in electronic form. The Departments widely introduce computer technologies with application of 1C programs. An electronic library has been organized at the Institute. Students have the opportunity to use the Internet network.

After graduation from a college, young professionals are enrolled to the university as third-year students. The Institute provides students with an opportunity to study at the military department and get the rank of reserve officer.

The whole period of studies does not mean only learning, tests, examinations and preparation for future occupation. The Institute holds regular discos, KVN, performances, amateur concerts, encourages club interests. Student’s tourist club "Shljah" enjoys highest popularity. Considerable attention at the Institute is paid to the development of physical culture and sports.

Members of the represented teams of the Institute win leading positions in city and Ukraine championships in swimming, hockey, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Students have the opportunity to improve their health and relax in the recreational and sports camp of the University in the Crimea and the Czech Republic.

The Institute trains specialists for the financial informational and analytical activities as well as investment, marketing, managerial, organizational and economic activities in the financial and banking institutions, insurance and investment companies, government customs agencies, brokerage firms, tax services.

Provides training of junior specialists in the field:

Publishing and editing (Associate Editor).

Training period:

-              3 years - based on the basic secondary education (9 classes education);

-              2 years - on the basis of a full secondary education (11 classes education).

The college also offers an optional foreign language and public relations studies and assists in teaching students during the undergraduate period at Kyiv Slavonic University.


SOUTH SLAVONIC INSTITUTE

Rector of the Institute - Vadim Skorokhodov, PhD., professor of the Kyiv Slavonic University, honorary worker of education of Ukraine.

South Slavonic Institute of the Kyiv Slavonic University was founded in 1994 by scientists from Nikolayev and Kyiv with the assistance of Nikolayev city and regional authorities.

South Slavonic Institute (SSI) as a division of the Kyiv Slavonic University carries out teaching and research activities in Nikolayev on the basis of the Charter of the Kyiv Slavonic University and the provisions of the South Slavonic Institute, approved and agreed upon in accordance with the legislature in force.

License of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine gives the Institute the right to provide higher education in the field:

-              Philology; specialty - language and literature (English, Bulgarian);

-              Psychology;

-              Economics and entrepreneurship; specialties - finance and credit, accounting and auditing;

-              management; specialty – management of organizations specializing in: management of media organizations, customs management, Information systems management, land management;

-              geodesy, cartography and land development; specialties - geographical information systems and technologies, land management and land survey.

Over the years the number of students at the Institute has risen from 50 to 1500 people.

South Slavonic Institute occupies three separate buildings, two of which it rents for the period of 25 years, and one is The Institute’s property. Total area of the buildings is 8,043 square meters.

The Institute has developed an educational complex "Continuing Education of Nikolayev region” which includes South Slavonic Institute, Southern Academy of Skills Development of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, State College of Economics and Food Technologies, technical school № 21, humanitarian gymnasium № 41, economic lyceum № 2, secondary schools № 3 and 31.

Institute Structure

The activities of the South Slavonic Institute are guided by the president of the Kyiv Slavonic University, doctor of historical sciences, professor Yuriy Alekseev and by the academic council of the university.

In its structure the South Slavonic Institute has:

-              faculty of humanities with the Departments of social and humanitarian sciences, foreign languages, Slavic studies, social psychology;

-              faculty of economics with the Department of economics and management, finance and banking, accounting and auditing, higher mathematics and Information technologies, land development and geographic information systems.

Psychological research as well as innovation and social technologies labs function within the chair of social psychology. In its turn information technology and distance learning labs function within the chair of higher mathematics and computer sciences.

Teaching and preparatory units ensure organization of the educational process. The institute library has more than 20 thousand books. It is also provided with a reading hall. Educational activities, career guidance and job placement center coordinates students’ extracurricular work.

Students’ Scientific Activities

The South Slavonic Institute pays a particular attention to students’ scientific work. The results of students’ clubs activities, clubs on scientific interests as well as other forms of work are displayed in results of all-ukrainian, regional and university students' scientific conferences. As an example, V.Kurdyumova won the first place in the International competition on the Ukrainian language; Y.Zubov took the first place in the all-Ukrainian philology olympiad and received a private letter of thanks from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin. V.Grushevskii took the third place in psychology olimpiad, and the Institute as a whole - the collective fourth place among classical Ukrainian universities and academies which prepare psychologists.

Since 2003, the South Slavonic Institute in Nikolayev holds regular international scientific readings in commemoration of the scientist-academician S.Batashev. The Russian Academy of Education, the Belarusian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine are co-organizers of the readings.

Annually, since 1996 the South Slavonic Institute in Nikolayev initiates historical and cultural readings devoted to the Days of Slavonic Written Language and Culture. They are attended by teachers and students of higher educational institutions, employees of museums and libraries, artists and guests from Kiev, Odessa, Kherson, Simferopol, scientists from Russia, Bulgaria, Poland and Belarus. Main tasks of the South Slavonic Institute are studying and promoting the history of Slavic peoples, upbringing love and respect for the spiritual and cultural identity of every nationality, educational and publishing activities.

Scientific Library of Kyiv Slavonic University


The history of scientific library is closely connected with the University activities. The non-governmental organization of Slavonic University was at the root of its origin. The starting fund was gifted by rector of the university, professor Alekseeev, academician P.Tolochko, chairman of the Ukrainian Stock Exchange V.Oskolskyi; university professors: A.Priskoka, G.Artyukh, N.Kravchenko, V.Kudin, L.Goncharenko, I.Stoyanov, A.Kovalenko, J.Gaydush, M.Shkil, A.Martynenko, V.Bruz and many others. English literature was supplied by the US charitable organizations. Subsequently, the number of sponsors included the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine, National Library named after academician Vernadsky, Goethe Institute, the National Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Dragomanov, Teacher's House, Kyiv Mohyla Academy, the embassies of Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Greece in Ukraine.

Book funds are being replenished with publications received from various public and charitable organizations: “Renaissance” international foundation, "Transformation of humanitarian education in Ukraine" program.

Among the books donated to the library - "Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedia” (gifted by A.Priskoka), 1906; Encyclopedia Americana (American Encyclopedia in 30 volumes, reprinted in 1969 from 1829); World Book (Encyclopedia “World Book "in 22 volumes, last edition published in 1994); " History of Diplomacy” edited by Potemkin in 3 volumes, 1-st volume published during the Great Patriotic War, and the last two only in 1945; rarity edition of the “ Polish-Russian Dictionary” in 3 volumes, published in 1829 – 1830;  "Historical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR” published in 1953 in 53 volumes; Nowa Encyklopedia Powszechna PWN "New Universal Encyclopedia of Poland" in 7 volumes, published in Warsaw, 1998-1999; Zlota Encyklopedia (3 CD) – “The Golden Encyclopedia”, issued in 2003; Slownik Jezyka Polskiego (CD 1) –“Dictionary of Polish Language”, issued in 2003; V.Dahl, "Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian language” in 4 volumes, published in 2002; M.Fasmer "Etymological Dictionary of Russian Language” in 4 volumes, published in 1996 and many other publications.

The library has unique reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, books in Slavic, Greek, English, German and other languages, published in Slavic countries, the USA, UK, Canada, Germany and Greece.

Of particular note is a unique archive of historical editions, donated to the library by professor of International relations chair, Alexandr Martynenko.

The University book funds donated to the library by professors I.Stoyanov, V.Vasyutinskii, V.Bruz are actively used by students and teachers.

From the very beginning the university pays constant attention to scientific publishing activities. Educational-methodical and scientific editions are published systematically. The library gets them on priority basis thus extending its books collection. Among editions printed at the university there are educational methodological and teaching aids, textbooks, courses of lectures read by leading teachers.

Periodical publications: “Vestnik KSU”, "Bolgarskiy Egednevnik (Bulgarian yearbook)”, " Eastern Slavs: Language, History, Culture, Slavic World”,  "Kyivskaya Starina" are particularly noteworthy.

Publication of scientific editions: “Evsevieve Gospel", "Slavic Culture in European Civilization” by M. Kotlyar, “History of Old Russian Statehood” by P. Goncharuk, "The harbinger of friendship and cooperation between peoples" and many others have become a significant event in the university activities.

These publications are extremely popular not only with the university library users. Other libraries, organizations and institutions in Kiev regularly exchange books with the Kyiv Slavonic University.

Scientific and research work of the library contributes to replenishing book funds. The library continuously analyses the availability of literature in order to ensure the educational process, both quantitative and qualitative composition of the book funds, carries out analysis of library attendance and circulation of books in various specialties and disciplines.

Scientific library has 95 657 books, periodicals, audio-visual and graphic documents, CDs, videotapes, summaries of theses.

Over the years the Kyiv Slavonic University the book collection which at the beginning of library accounted 2 333 copies has increased 30-times.

A proper organization of reference and bibliographic service contributes to a proper functioning of the library. It offers the users alphabetic and systematic catalogs; alphabetical directories in the Bulgarian, English, German, Modern Greek, Polish, Serbian, Slovak, and Czech languages, card-index of articles from periodicals, card-index of personalities, card-index of teachers’ scientific works.

Center for International Science Cooperation


According to the concept of the development of our University the Center for International Cooperation has to develop partnerships with foreign higher educational, scientific and cultural-educational institutions.

At present, Kyiv Slavonic University cooperates with the following educational institutions abroad:

Our teachers are invited to lecture at the universities of Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Sweden. Professors from Poland, the Czech Republic, USA, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden.

According to the signed agreements our partners train the Kyiv Slavonic University students overseas. Students from Slavic philology chair annually have country studies and language practice in Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The Center for International Science Cooperation pays much attention to studying foreign languages by the Kyiv Slavonic University students. For this aim, the International Language School was established. It operates as an official representative of the leading language schools in Europe and is capable to fully meet the needs of students in learning languages. International Language School participants have an opportunity to undergo country studies and language training on preferential terms.

Students’ government



Students-activists and students’ government bodies are integral participants in the life of the Kyiv Slavonic University.

Students’ Council is the highest executive body of students’ government which unites on a voluntary basis students of the Kyiv Slavonic University, represents their interests and on behalf of the students’ government executes its functions and powers.

Over the past three years the Students’ Council held a variety of activities. Young people were enchanted with competitions "Miss Charming Slavyanka," Mister KSU”, meetings with prominent political and public figures, diplomats and academicians.

The Council takes care of students’ academic achievements, attendance of training sessions, passing tests and examinations, implementation of internal regulations at the university and the university hostels, etc.

That Council initiated at the meetings with university administration the consideration topical issues of relations between students and teachers of the University, the psychological climate in the academic groups and value orientation of students, socio-psychological adaptation of the first-year students to university life.

Students’ council is an active participant and organizer of the sport life. Football, basketball, swimming, volleyball, hiking - it's only a fraction of extracurricular work at the university.

Students-activists of Kyiv Slavonic University cooperate with Kyiv students’ council, the Ukrainian association of students’ government, the all-ukrainian students’ council and work together with students’ government bodies of partner-universities in Poland, the Czech Republic and France.

Kyiv Slavonic University Science Schools



Research schools of the University are closely associated with the Ukrainian National Slavonic Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science.

Slavic scholars are united in a single research team, dealing with the problems of studying history, cultures, languages of the largest ethnic group in Europe - Slavs.

Teaching staff of the University is actively working in the field of Slavic studies. The University scientists are invited to teach and conduct research work in other countries.

All the educational and methodical work at the University is based on a scientific basis.

Scientific School of Petro Tolochko


Petro Tolochko is a world famous Ukrainian historian and archaeologist, he has a high international reputation, his scientific works are published in Russia, France, Germany, Poland, USA and Canada. Petro Tolochko is a professor emeritus of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academia Europaea (London), a corresponding member of the Central German Archaeological Institute (Berlin).

He is the author of 25 monographs, over 650 scientific, popular science and journalistic works. Petro Tolochko’s scientific school studies actual problems of the history of Kievan Rus and Ukrainian middle ages.

A characteristic feature of his scientific and popular publications, both in the Ukrainian and Russian languages is clarity and accessibility.

He helps his students to explore outstanding issues in the sequence of historical and archaeological events.

Petro Tolochko is the editor in chief of the “Kyivskaya Starina” periodically published by the University.


Scientific School of Vsevolod Naulko

Vsevolod Naulko is a renowned anthropologist, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of historical sciences, professor. He is the author of more than 400 scientific and educational publications.

Although the leading portion of Vsevolod Naulko’s scientific interests has always been an ethnic demography and cartography which are indispensable for the study of problems of ethno genesis and ethnic history, the circle of his scientific interests is very wide. Many of his works are devoted to matters of general ethnography and theories of ethnicity, folk knowledge, ritualism as well as to the problems of foreign ethnology, museology, teaching of ethnography at schools and universities.

As a supervisor V.Naulko prepared 12 PhD and two doctors of historical sciences. He participated in IX, XI, XII, XIII and XIV International Slavic Congresses.

Scientific School of Yuriy Alekseev

In general, historical subjects learned under the guidance of doctor of historical sciences, professor Yuriy Alekseev, can be defined as the study of the Slavs and a contribution to the European civilization.

Yuriy Alekseev is the author of 3 monographs, 15 textbooks, 2 art and documentary stories, over than 150 scientific, popular and journalistic works. Some of his scientific works were published in Russia, Hungary and Bulgaria. Among Yuriy Alekseev’s major works - "First, build a school" (1998), "Ukraine: Education and the State” (1987-1997), "Ukraine at the turn of historic eras" (2000), "To think, to seed, not to wait ... " (2001), " Introduction to History. The Course of Lectures ", "Country studies. The culture of the peoples of the Slavic countries" (2002), “History of Ukraine" (2004, in Bulgarian and Russian languages), "History of Ukraine "(2005), etc.

Yuriy Alekseev is the editor in chief of the international journal “Bulgarian Yearbook”, collection of scientific papers “Vestnik KSU”, "Universitet ", also a member of the editorial boards of the journals: “Novaya Polityka", "Journalist of Ukraine", “Kyivskaya Starina".

His personal scientific contribution to the theory and history of education in Ukraine is the development of scientific concepts and theoretical foundations of the establishment of the Kyiv Slavonic University as a center of training highly qualified specialists in the field of Slavic studies, history and culture of the Slavic peoples.

He prepared 9 Ph.D and 2 doctors of historical sciences. Yuriy Alekseev’s graduate students investigate problems of world history. Yuriy Alekseev is the chairman of the specialized academic council for defence of doctoral and Ph.D theses at Kyiv Slavonic University.

Scientific and Practical School of Valentin Oskolskyi


Valentin Oskolskyi is a well-known Ukrainian economist, head of securities department, academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, honored economist of Ukraine, chairman of the Ukrainian Stock Exchange, president of the Article Numbering Association of Ukraine "EAN - Ukraine".

He is the founder of a students stock exchange, an author of several books and manuals.

Valentin Oskolsky is a co-chairman of Ukrainian-German scientific and practical seminar on functioning of the securities market as well as organizer of practical training of students and economists on the basis of the Ukrainian Stock Exchange.

Scientific School of Vladimir Bruz

To research interests of Vladimir Bruz belong: problems of theory and practice of international organizations, UN reform, the theoretical foundations of modern international relations and Ukraine’s foreign policy.

He is the author of over 150 scientific and educational works.

Vladimir Bruz prepared 11 PhD and 2 doctors of historical sciences.

Scientific School of Vladimir Buslinskyi

The scientific interests of professor V. Buslinskyi are rather wide. They lie in the field of problems of dialectics of social development, social and philosophical problems of labor, the essence of foreign philosophical concepts. He is the author and co-author of 15 books, numerous articles, manuals and a textbook on philosophy.

The otal number of publications is 180.

As a scientific supervisor Vladimir Buslinskyi has prepared 23 PhD and 5 doctors of philosophy.

Scientific School of Leonid Gaidukov

Leonid Gaidukov prepared 12 Ph.D and 3 doctors of historical sciences.

He published over 200 scientific and methodical works, both in Ukraine and abroad, particularly in Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland and Turkey.

Scientific School of Ivan Stoyanov

Ivan Stoyanov is the author of more than 100 publications in Bulgarian linguistics, particularly in the field of Slavic lexicology and lexicography.

He is the editor and the compiler (in collaboration with A.Chmyr) of the first in the practice of Slavic lexicography "Bulgarian-Ukrainian dictionary, a member of the writing team indulged in preparation of seven-volume edition of the" Etymological Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language. "

To research interests of professor Ivan Stoyanov belong Bulgarian dialectology, in particular, socio-linguistic aspect of the study, cross-language contacts and others.

Ivan Stoyanov is the head of dissertations in Bulgarian linguistics. Four of his graduate students teach Slavonic disciplines in Kiev, Sofia, Varna (Bulgaria) and Washington (USA).

Under the guidance of professor I.Stoyanov graduate students are involved in the research of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian lexical homonymy; language style of the Bulgarian writer Ivan Radikov , influence of translation tradition of XVII-th century biblical texts on the further development of the language.
